Soft Skills

Preamble

Soft skill training programmes are organized for University department students with an aim to improve their skills and make them employable. The experts of the programme concentrates more on developing various skills in students viz. inter-personal, leadership, team building, decision-making and problem solving.

Objectives
    • To enhance employability skills
    • To encourage all-round development of students for successful and responsible citizen of the country
    • To develop the right altitude through individual and group activities

Life Skills

Yoga and Meditation

Preamble

    Institution is not an Industry to produce future citizens of a nation but also to train the students physically and mentally and bring out their latent talent to face the challenges in the life and to serve the society. Motivating the students to to achieve peace, prosperity, health, happiness, harmony and wisdom through meditation and get them prepared to be an innovative individual committed to excellence in their career and to serve the social, cultural and spiritual needs of the world with gender equities

Objectives

  • To educate the values of yoga for physical and mental harmony
  • To manage stress efficiently through yoga
  • To apply the principles of yoga scientifically for personality development

Activities

  • Yoga is included as mandatory add-on course to all undergraduate students and as value education course to university students.
  • Observance of International Days of Yoga
  • Organise yoga sessions in the village adopted by NSS volunteers

Outcome

  • Practicing yoga, control the emotional wellbeing among the students
  • Improves concentration and focus on studies
  • Aspires for a harmonious life filled with mental peace, health and hygiene
  • Imbibes social, cultural and spiritual qualities


Health and Hygiene Activities

Some Departments have organized many health awareness programmes to the students of the University Departments. To mention a few, health awareness programme on Corona virus, awareness programme on rain harvesting and dengue, Seminar on diabetes and its complications, blood donation camp and health awareness etc.

Trends in Recent Technology

The emerging trends and innovations in this competitive world have made the institutions/industries to look for newer technologies available for their better performance. Rapid technology advancements force the industries either to recruit employees with latest technical skills or train the employees to suit to the present needs. Therefore it is the need of every moment to keep our graduates aware of the recent trends and technologies available and make them to utilize the technologies at the greater extent in their area of interest and get specialized in order to advance in their career.

Objectives:

    To provide ample opportunities to the students to gain awareness to newer technologies in various sectors, motivate students to think differently and be competitive.

Activities:

    University departments have organized many skill enhancement programmes using latest software like Python, R programming by the way of conducting hands-on training, workshop on various skills.

Outcomes:

    Learning, unlearning and relearning is a continuous process in the new technologies evolved. Students stepping out as graduate stood updated with knowledge in the new technologies. Our graduates stand bold enough to face challenges in their professional career and take it as an opportunity and not as threat. Help students to foresee the future to know which skills they need to know to secure a safe job tomorrow and to become a successful entrepreneur in the competitive world.
