ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of English, incepted in 2015, offers M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs and motivates the students to rise and shine in life academically and professionally. It always excels in shaping and tapping the student community to be more responsible citizens. Periodically Conferences, Seminars and Guest Lectures are organized by inviting eminent academicians from highly reputed institutions in and around the nation. The Department strives to mould the young aspirants as the most responsible literarians and citizens of the society.

M.A (English)	Any candidate who has passed B.A., English or any other Bachelor’s Degree examinations of this University or any other University recognized by the Syndicate as equivalent thereto shall be permitted to appear and qualify for M.A. English (2 Year course). Preference will be given to students of B.A., English. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in other disciplines must possess a minimum of 50% in Part –II English. Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 40% in UG degree examinations.
