Periyar University Business Incubation Confederation (BIC@PU) is a Government Business Incubator funded by EDII (Government of Tamil Nadu) and DST (Government of India), hosted in Periyar University; registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as a Section 8 Company. BIC@PU complies with TMBIIDP and DST NIDHI i-TBI guidelines focusing on the Food, Agri, and Nutrition Sectors (Manufacturing and Service). It earmarked its divisions and services by following a guidance framework for higher education institutions defined in Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Policy and MHRD National Innovation and Startup Policy 2019 for students and faculty.

It also supports ideas from other domains, when the entrepreneur is passionate about his/her work by considering the SDG goals and region-specific needs.
